Denver Wedding Venue Guide

First task when you start your Denver wedding planning? Finding your perfect venue. As Denver boasts hundreds of venues with a lot of variety, I am giving you a guide from a photographer's perspective on which venue will best fit your needs. With a focus on aesthetics and vibes, I hope the following guide helps you narrow down your top venue choices.  In my Denver wedding venue guide, you’ll find venues sorted into the following categories: art galleries, breweries, country clubs, historic buildings, hotels, museums, outdoor spaces, restaurants, and theaters across Denver.

Each Denver wedding venue listing includes their website, capacity, rental pricing range, neighborhood, Native land acknowledgment, and LGBTQ+ friendliness. Because venue owners can change pricing every year, and pricing varies at venues based on catering, the day of the week, the time of year, and more, you’ll most often find pricing ranges rather than exact numbers. Once you narrow down your perfect Denver venues, I encourage you to confirm current pricing with each venue.

You can reference this key regarding pricing for the venues:

  • $ under $3,000

  • $$$ over $10,000

While I list whether a venue welcomes all couples, I know venue ownership can change, so a venue's inclusivity can change, too. So, I recommend double-checking with each venue.

In my guide, I have the following LGBTQ+ friendliness labels for Denver venues:

  • Likely means queer couples featured on the venue’s site or blog.

  • Yes means confirmed by me.

  • Unknown means no clear public information found.

Denver Art Gallery Venues

My favorite Denver, or close to Denver, art gallery wedding venues include Space Annex and Rembrandt Yard. Denver has some amazing art galleries that make unique wedding venues. If clean design, funky art for creative backdrops, and a more city feel spark joy in your space, I’d recommend touring some art venues. Space Annex’s city rooftop and easy parking, and Rembrandt Yard’s natural light make these two my top art gallery venue choices. I have yet to photograph at Space Gallery or Walker Fine Art, but they make great options for a more intimate wedding (Walker Fine Art) and a large wedding (Space Gallery). Also, because the arts work towards a more expansive, inclusive world, you can likely bank on all of the art galleries creating a safe space for you and your guests. If you plan to bring together a rowdy crowd, tour any art gallery first before booking to make sure they can handle some wild dance moves without damaging the art.

Denver Brewery, Distillery, or Winery Venues

My favorite Denver Winery wedding venue is Bigsby’s Folly, and my favorite Denver brewery wedding venue is Wynkoop Brewing Company. While Denver has a famous brewery scene, it also hosts many wonderful vineyards for weddings. If you’d like to make romance a key vibe for your wedding day, I’d recommend choosing one of Denver’s Wineries, either Balistreri Vineyards or Bigsby’s Folly. If you’d like to prioritize character, Colorado granola vibes, and exposed materials like brick for your wedding venue, many Denver breweries fit the bill. Many breweries will also likely host your wedding, but you’d need to ask each one, since they don’t always offer “private events” as an option on their website.

Denver Club Venues

Denver has lots of great clubs to choose from for your wedding, some of my favorite Denver club wedding venues include the Oaks and Arrowhead Golf Club. If you have not visited Denver before, Denver’s desert climate might surprise you. Choosing a golf club or country club as your wedding backdrop ensures you’ll have a green backdrop, even in our driest months, such as August and September. Many country clubs also offer mountain backdrops, full-service facilities, catering, and event coordination. If you want to keep your planning list short, the all-inclusive service offered by many clubs may fit your needs. As country clubs have not always had inclusive practices as a whole make sure you check in with them about their inclusion policies.

Denver Hotel Venues

My favorite Denver hotel venues for weddings include the Hilton Garden Inn Denver, The Slate, the Brown Palace Hotel & Spa, Sheraton Denver Downtown, Limelight, and Populus. Hotels make excellent wedding venues for many reasons. First, they often offer in-house catering and have a great event-planning system. Second, many locate themselves in popular areas of the city, making sightseeing easy for out-of-town guests. Lastly, since most guests will stay at the hotel, they can support a much more communal feel for your wedding weekend. Denver Outdoor Venues

I adore all the outdoor wedding venues in Denver, but if I had to pick my favorite Denver outdoor wedding venues they’d be Blackstone Rivers Ranch, Colorado Chautauqua, Juniper Mountain House, Boulder Creek by Wedgewood, and the Denver Botanic Gardens. Most couples travel to Colorado for their wedding because of the mountains. If you’d like to give your guests an outdoor Colorado experience without asking them to drive to the mountains, the following sites (many with open-air and indoor ceremony and reception spaces) will fit the bill. So, if you want to get married in the mountains but also want to prioritize accessibility and lower elevation for your guests, many of these venues offer the best of both worlds.
