Many couples bring their dog or a personal touch, like a sign or flowers. I provide a small bouquet or a half bottle of champagne for my larger Colorado proposal packages.

If you’d like a simple setup, i.e., a single sign or picnic blanket, I’m happy to help. If you’d like a more elaborate setup, I’ll connect you with a local proposal and wedding planner.  Ensure that your chosen location allows props, decor or pets - especially in parks or public spaces. I ask that everything follow Leave No Trace guidelines, and we’ll go over any specifics during planning. Colorado weather keeps us on our toes! I’ll photograph in light rain, snow, wind, or fog - these can add a beautiful, emotional element to your Denver or Colorado proposal photos. We’ll only reschedule for unsafe conditions like lightning, wildfire smoke, extreme temperatures, or closed roads. I’ll help you plan indoor options ahead of time, and we’ll confirm your backup preferences well before the big day.

After we connect and confirm the basics, I’ll send over a contract and invoice. A nonrefundable retainer reserves your date and includes proposal planning support. We’ll check in via phone once or twice before your session so everything feels smooth, clear, and stress-free.

For peak colorado photo season (May–October), I recommend booking your Denver or Colorado surprise proposal 4–6 weeks in advance - earlier if you’re planning for a weekend, a popular mountain location, or anywhere that requires a permit. My calendar fills quickly, especially during fall and summer.

Denver proposal photography sessions typically last between 20 and 90 minutes. For mountain proposals or sessions that include a short hike or multiple locations, plan on 60–90 minutes. You can also split your time - like a short surprise proposal session followed by a longer portrait session later. I’ll be there until you and your new fiancé feel ready to celebrate.
